Summary
Exact prompt
Scaled-down version of a 4-week game: in one pass build a small 3D fishing game as a single file index.html using three.js from https://unpkg.com/three@0.160.0/build/three.module.js (ES module import). Must include: a water surface and a dock/boat scene with lighting; click (or Space) to cast a line with a visible bobber; a random bite after a delay with a visual cue; a reel-in timing mini-game (press at the right moment or keep a meter in a zone) that can succeed or fail; at least 4 fish species with different rarity/weight; a HUD with catch log/score.
Task prompt given to the agent (headless, offline, synthetic fixture inputs): Scaled-down version of a 4-week game: in one pass build a small 3D fishing game as a single file index.html using three.js from https://unpkg.com/three@0.160.0/build/three.module.js (ES module import). Inspired by https://x.com/hakimieiqbal/status/2092194086073614342 (unverified; not checked with the author). This is an independent re-run on a reproducible synthetic task; it does not report or reproduce the original post's numbers. Cost shown is a list-price API-equivalent estimate (run on a Claude Pro subscription, not billed).
Success criteria: All automated rubric checks pass: imports three@0.160.0 module; no uncaught console errors in headless Chrome; water surface; dock or boat; lighting; cast + bobber; bite after delay; reel mini-game; >=4 species with rarity/weight; HUD catch log/score.
Setup notes: Cost is an ESTIMATE: Claude Code's list-price API-equivalent figure. The run used a Claude Pro subscription, so nothing was billed. input_tokens = all input incl. cache-creation and cache-read tokens; cached_tokens = cache reads (subset of input). Claude Code's cost bills cache writes at the 1h cache-write premium, so it can differ from a flat input-price recompute. Web disabled; tools Read/Write/Edit/Glob/Grep/Bash; single run; scored automatically (10/10 checks).
Estimated cost List-price estimate; not actually billed.

Reproduce this run
- Use the use case prompt on the use case page.
- Same setup: Claude Opus 5.5 (anthropic/claude-opus-5.5) via
Claude Code 2.1.299 (headless -p), cloud. - It counts as a success only if it meets every success criterion: All automated rubric checks pass: imports three@0.160.0 module; no uncaught console errors in headless Chrome; water surface; dock or boat; lighting; cast + bobber; bite after delay; reel mini-game; >=4 species with rarity/weight; HUD catch log/score.
- Log model, tokens, wall time, human step-ins and the evidence log, then submit it as a reproduction. A different model? Submit a head-to-head rerun.
I built the game as a single `index.html`. It loads three.js 0.160.0 from unpkg as an ES module, so it needs an internet connection. Opening the file directly should work; if your browser blocks module imports from `file://`, serve the folder locally (e.g. `python3 -m http.server`).

I ran it in headless Chrome and played through it with a scripted player that steps the game clock: charge, cast, waiting, bite, reeling, catch. I checked screenshots of each stage and fixed what looked wrong: the slack line dipped under the water so it looked cut off from the bobber, the reel meter overlapped the rod, and the caught fish was backlit and too dark. I couldn't hear the sound or check feel at real speed this way. The scripted player wins the reel game perfectly, so I haven't checked whether the difficulty suits a human.

**What's in it**
- **Scene:** an animated wave surface with sun glints, a wooden dock with posts, a bucket and a tackle box, and a red rowboat tied up beside the dock that bobs on the waves. Around it are hills, trees, a small island, reeds, drifting clouds and a sky gradient. Late-afternoon sunlight casts shadows, with extra sky light and a fill light.
- **Casting:** hold click or Space to charge a power meter that bounces back and forth, then release. The rod swings, and the red-and-white bobber flies out in an arc and lands with a splash. Stronger casts go further (about 7–32 m) and **raise the odds of rare fish**. The bobber grows slightly with distance so you can still see it far out.
- **Bite:** after a random 2–8 s wait there are fake nibbles (small dips and ripples). Pressing during a nibble spooks the fish. A real bite pulls the bobber under with repeated splashes, a big pulsing red **"!"** over the bobber, a flashing on-screen prompt and a beep. You get about 0.8–1.1 s to hook it; rarer fish give you less time.
- **Reeling mini-game:** hold to lift a green zone and keep the fish (which darts around) inside it. While the fish is inside, the progress bar fills and the bobber is pulled toward the dock. While it's outside, the bar drains, the track flashes red and the fish thrashes in the water. A full bar lands the fish; an empty bar means it escapes. Harder fish move faster and give you a smaller zone.
- **6 species:**

| Species | Rarity | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Bluegill | Common | 0.1–0.6 kg |
| Yellow Perch | Common | 0.2–1.2 kg |
| Rainbow Trout | Uncommon | 0.5–3.5 kg |
| Largemouth Bass | Uncommon | 1–5.5 kg |
| Channel Catfish | Rare | 3–16 kg |
| Golden Koi | Legendary | 2–9 kg |

Each has its own difficulty, points and 3D model. A caught fish leaps out of the water toward the camera, wiggling.
- **HUD:**
- **Stats panel:** score, fish caught, escapes, a streak bonus (up to ×2.0) and your biggest fish.
- **Catch log:** a scrolling list of catches and misses.
- **Fishdex:** a 6/6 collection grid.
- **Catch card:** shows rarity, weight, points and a "NEW SPECIES!" badge.

Sound effects are generated in the browser, so there are no audio files.",
