Exact prompt
# Bill a farm's veg box subscribers for November 2026 Inputs: `subscribers.csv` (sub_id, box, weekday, start_date), `pauses.csv`, `prices.csv`, `credits.csv` (claims for missing items), `delivery.json` and `newsletter.txt`. Every amount is in pounds. The data files and these rules are the record; where the newsletter disagrees with them, the rules win. Rules: - Each subscriber gets one box on every date in November 2026 that falls on their weekday and is on or after their start_date. - A pause covers every date from its from date to its to date, both included; no box is delivered on a paused date. - Each delivery is charged at the prices.csv row for that box with the latest effective_from on or before the delivery date; small boxes also pay small_box_fee per delivery. - A credit claim counts only if its date is a date that subscriber actually received a box. - Due = charges - credits. Write `out/boxes.json`: `{"deliveries": {"<sub_id>": <count>, ...}, "charges": {...}, "credits": {...}, "due": {...}, "grand_total": <sum of due>}` with every subscriber in each map (0 where nothing applies). ## How this run works - Work on your own: nobody will answer questions in this task, and writing to `ask/` counts against the run. - Write only under `out/`. Create `out/` if it is missing. Inputs are synthetic; don't fetch anything from the network. - Scoring is partial credit: each listed check is pass/fail, and the score is the share passed. Numbers are compared to within 0.005 unless the task says otherwise.
Count each subscriber's November deliveries and bill them. Subscriptions start mid-month, pauses end exactly on delivery days and include both ends, only some box sizes go up in price mid-month, and some credit claims name a date with no delivery. The farm newsletter claims a flat 10% rise and an exclusive pause end. Original benchmark task written for usecaserank.com (not based on a specific public post). Headless, offline run on a reproducible fixture. Each run's notes say how its cost was measured (estimates are marked).
Success criteria: deliveries charges credits due_and_total
Setup notes: Batch 27 case c05-veg-box-deliveries (offline, synthetic inputs, seed 319284303). Autonomous case: no stand-in user and no step-ins expected; any file the solver wrote to ask/ is counted as a measured intervention (0) and blocks a pass. Prompt = TASK.md verbatim. Hidden key kept outside the solver's work dir. Scored with the case's scorer (python3 score.py WORKDIR KEYDIR, absolute paths); pass = every check true and no ask/ files. Tools: Read/Write/Edit/Glob/Grep/Bash, web disabled. Single run, no retries. 1-min load average at scoring 0.27 (8 cores). Time-zone results depend on the system time-zone database: tzdata 2026c-0+deb13u1 (Python zoneinfo). Claude Code's own reported cost for claude-opus-5.5: $0.112274. Score: 4/4. Cost is an ESTIMATE: measured tokens x pricing.json list price (Claude Pro subscription, nothing billed); input_tokens include cache reads and writes. Single run.
Estimated cost List-price estimate; not actually billed.

I checked by hand that the paused dates are skipped and that only one credit counts.\n\n| sub_id | box | Delivery dates (Nov) | Charges (\u00a3) | Credits (\u00a3) | Due (\u00a3) |\n|---|---|---|---|---|---|\n| VB-510 | large | 20, 27 | 46.08 | 0 | 46.08 |\n| VB-516 | medium | 17, 24 | 40.20 | 0 | 40.20 |\n| VB-522 | large | 5, 12, 19, 26 | 90.22 | 0 | 90.22 |\n| VB-528 | small | 5, 12, 19, 26 | 59.28 | 0 | 59.28 |\n| VB-534 | large | 20, 27 | 46.08 | 0 | 46.08 |\n| VB-540 | medium | 13, 20, 27 | 59.60 | 2.76 | 56.84 |\n| VB-546 | large | 19, 26 | 46.08 | 0 | 46.08 |\n| VB-552 | small | 17, 24 | 29.64 | 0 | 29.64 |\n| VB-558 | medium | 6, 13, 20, 27 | 79.00 | 0 | 79.00 |\n| VB-564 | small | 17, 24 | 29.64 | 0 | 29.64 |\n| VB-570 | small | 19, 26 | 29.64 | 0 | 29.64 |\n\n- **Newsletter ignored where it conflicts:** I didn't apply its \"all prices rise 10% from 1 November\". Prices come only from `prices.csv`: the new large and medium prices start on 16 November, and the small price stays at \u00a313.32 plus the \u00a31.50 small-box fee.\n- **Pauses:** I also didn't follow the newsletter's claim that a pause excludes its last day. Pauses include both ends, so VB-546's box on 12 November is skipped.\n- **Credits:** only VB-540's \u00a32.76 counts. The other four claims are for days with no delivery:\n - VB-510, VB-564 and VB-570 claimed for dates before their start dates.\n - VB-534 claimed for 13 November, which falls inside their pause.",
